Why “Dreamscape Rideau”?  A “dreamscape” is a vision you would see in a daydream; like a peaceful and happy scene beyond your wildest imagination. 

And as for “Rideau”, well, it holds historical significance. The Rideau Canal is a beautifully scenic waterway found in Ottawa, Ontario. Our studio lies in the heart of the Rideau in a charming one-room schoolhouse built in 1844. 

Put together, at “Dreamscape Rideau”, we offer an experience. A serene and dreamlike experience that you can take home and remember always. Our artwork is intricately designed to remind you to dream and is a tangible expression from the unique locale of the Rideau.

When you meet Barbara Osborne-Monaghan, one of the first things you will discover is that she is passionate about teaching and creating artwork. She has been specializing in fine art, painting, fused glass, jewellery, and textile work for over 10 years, and her work can be found in local businesses, schools and galleries around the Ottawa region.  When she isn’t teaching or painting, she can be spotted stretching the boundaries of glass fusing and finding new ways to use textiles for expression and fun.
